At the end of 2019 we will see some changes in the Cefic Public Affairs team. The role of Aaron McLoughlin, currently our Executive Director Public Affairs will change and he will become Senior Political Advisor to the Cefic PA team, reporting to the Director-General. We are happy to announce that from 2nd September, Noor Yafai joins Cefic as Executive Director of Public Affairs. After a month of transition, she will lead the PA team from October 1st.
Noor joins Cefic as secondee from Shell’s EU Affairs Team, where she led the team’s work on international relations issues, corporate and financial advocacy and the company’s EU Thought Leadership programme. She has worked closely with Cefic for a number of years, serving as Sherpa to Shell’s last three ExCom representatives, (including Shell’s current CEO). Noor’s international career spans 18 years, including roles in Shell’s Downstream Strategy and Portfolio team, in Government Relations and Communications. Prior to Shell, Noor was a political consultant working for government, industry and NGO clients.
