Venue
Sparks, 60, rue Ravenstein – 1000 Brussels
Event Type
On September 8, Cefic will hold a high-level panel discussion “Building the bioeconomy – Setting targets to stay on target?”.
The panel discussion will bring together policymakers, industry and stakeholders to discuss how Europe can move from bioeconomy ambition to industrial reality with a particular focus on market-pull measures and the forthcoming Biotech Act II.
Panellists will explore three key questions that are central to scaling Europe’s bioeconomy:
- How demand-side measures and biomass-derived content targets can help create lead markets for the European bioeconomy;
- What enabling conditions are needed to scale the bioeconomy, notably in terms of access to sustainable biomass and coherent frameworks across the Single Market;
- How the upcoming Biotech Act II can act as a tool to industrialise the bioeconomy, supporting deployment at scale and delivering on the Bioeconomy Strategy.
