Today is the last day to apply for this year’s Responsible Care Awards Gallery “Supporting Ukraine and a Sustainable Society”

Responsible Care

Each year the Responsible Care Awards recognises our industry’s efforts to safeguard people and the environment, while contributing to sustainability. As Ukraine faces the devastating humanitarian consequences of the war, our European chemicals industry has expressed solidarity towards its people. In these circumstances, we would like to use the Responsible Care Awards this year as a vehicle to share our broad industry’s efforts to support immediate needs of the daily life of the people of Ukraine and to mitigate the long-term adverse effects of the energy crisis on a sustainable European economy.

The aim of the Awards programme this year is to showcase all valid entries in an online gallery outlined by two categories:
Supporting humanitarian aid: Initiatives that offer humanitarian assistance to affected people in Ukraine as well as refugees and people in need in neighbouring countries.
– Striving for resource efficiency: Initiatives that contribute to a resource efficient, climate neutral and circular Europe, with the focus on reducing strategic dependency and increasing energy and raw material supply chain diversification.

All Responsible Care participants, including members of Cefic and national federations, are invited to share their projects and initiatives. The online gallery is foreseen to be launched in October, together with a campaign recognising the work of all the submissions.
