REACH: supporting safe chemicals management through risk assessment and data sharing
Implementing REACH is one of the most challenging tasks the chemical industry has ever faced. Since its entry into force in 2007, over 23.000 substances have been registered. REACH is not static—it’s implementation evolves with scientific knowledge, societal concerns, and policy priorities. The dynamic nature of REACH requests continuous effort from industry, as well as active involvement from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the European Commission and the national authorities.
