Summary
Cefic has submitted a responses to the EU Commission consultation on the Electrification Action Plan. The paper outlines that to support a competitive industry, electrification, as well as hydrogen production, the Electrification Action Plan should work towards delivering electricity costs at an internationally competitive level, which includes both the reduction of wholesale prices and additional charges. This paper outlines policy measures to remedy some of the barriers to electrification.
