Chemistry Building the Future

Chemistry Building the Future

3 October 2019, Brussels – The chemical industry is one of the largest and most diversified industries in the world and supplies virtually all sectors of the economy. Our unique position makes us a key player in helping other sectors become more energy- and resource-efficient. For instance, the chemical industry develops materials and technologies that can boost your home’s energy efficiency, make 100% recyclable products, build more efficient wind turbines and even help preserve wild fish in oceans.

From 15-17 October Cefic, together with national federations and member companies, are engaging with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to show how ‘Chemistry is Building the Future’. During this three-day exhibition, the chemical industry will illustrate how innovations from chemistry enable our everyday life. The exhibition will comprise three real life scenes such as a loft, a cityscape and a juice bar. The items on display vary from sports gear that can help keep you fit to countertops that can charge your devices. Chemistry is everywhere.

The exhibition will kick off with a reception and is complemented by a series of national federation events.
