Cefic joins 22 EU and Global Industry & Trade Associations in calling for efficient, secure, and prosperous customs

Ahead of International Customs Day 2025, the industry and trade associations represented in the Trade Contact Group (TCG), emphasise the critical need for increased investment in state of the art digital solutions and enforcement, creating efffective customs operations to address the growing complexity of global trade and to achieve greater efficiency, security, and economic prosperity.

In full alignment with our latest position paper, Cefic co-signed the statement to reinforce our call for a customs framework that ensures fair trade and border security, while embracing the opportunities presented by public-private partnerships, digitalisation, and sustainability.
