During the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) of the Global Framework on Chemicals, taking place in Uruguay, 24 – 27 June, the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) is hosting a Masterclass on Data Transparency.
This interactive session will explore ways to improve the flow of product safety information through the supply chain and beyond. A focus will be on the role of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), a tool for communicating chemical safety information.
This session aims to:
- Explore opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and utility of SDS to strengthen data transparency and support the GFC Strategic Objective B on data transparency.
- Provide an overview of the SDS; its purpose, content, limitations
- Share stakeholder experiences with SDS, including challenges and needs
