Cefic rolled out SQAS 2019 (Safety and Quality for Sustainability), a harmonised third party assessment to evaluate the performance and corporate social responsibility of logistics service providers and distributors.

The 2019 version includes management of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, control of plastic/flakes/powder loss, as well as programmes to reduce fuel, energy and water consumption and increased security in information technology. Cefic organises regular SQAS training workshops for SQAS assessors and the chemical sector during which key partners in the value chain share best practices.
