Petrochemicals Europe is participating in the SPIRE-10 ‘MMAtwo’ project, which falls under Horizon2020. The project aims to improve the Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) recycling technology by recycling post-industrial and end-of-life PMMA waste into second-generation MethylMethAcrylate (MMA) raw materials. Recycling this material is truly innovative, as it is not often recycled yet. Metacrylate-based polymers are in medical equipment and dental applications where purity and stability are critical.
