The four-day online conference organised by the European Commission will cover a wide range of topics, from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on value chains to challenges and opportunities for global trade and the transition to safe and sustainable chemicals.

The COVID19 crisis has shown certain vulnerabilities of global value chains. Increasing resilience and ensuring the provision of goods and services can mean diversification of sourcing, stronger alliances with like-minded partners, and reinforcing production capacities in Europe.  Investing in strategically important future technologies and infrastructures is essential to improve the resilience of our industrial ecosystems. This panel will discuss how to implement this approach in practice.
