Ensuring the workplace safety of our employees is at the heart of our industry’s culture. |
The European chemical industry has decades of experience assessing materials to help ensure that all precautions are taken to assure the safety of workers whilst using chemical materials.
We assess the effects of our products on humans and the environment using state of the art methodologies and take the necessary actions to protect our employees. In addition we are pursuing the further development of the measuring technologies for nanoparticles.
Studies that are ongoing include the development of suitable methods for particle characterization and exposure assessment by way of using exemplary substances.
Cefic also supports and contributes to the standardization efforts at European (CEN) and international level (ISO, OECD) on nanomaterials and nanotechnology.
